I am sound designer and experimental musician currently working in Brooklyn, NY. In my work I explore the differences between natural and synthetic sounds, and how they correspond with each other. Natural sounds are used as musical elements and synthetic sounds are used to represent the natural world.
In my nonmusical work, sounds are mixed together to create soundscapes emanating into narratives often focusing on daily routines and processes. Bringing sequences into sharp aural focus invites the listener to take interest in moments that are easily dismissed by the conscious mind.
In my musical work I try to create sequences using changing texture and tone to create progression. I emphasis contrast between different timbres to develop emotion, mood, and personality.
